Foundations
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Some prior media production experience
  • Highly motivated
  • Responsible

Program Requirements
  • Attending the virtual orientation on 08/29/2024
  • Attending the first session on 09/14/2024.
  • Attending the last session on June 29th, 2025.

  • Cannot miss more than (2) classes.
  • Completion of 150 hours of training.

True Industry Experience

Our program teaches what you actually need to know in the film industry. Apprentices who finish the program will feel prepared to pursue a career as a freelancer.

Master Classes

A variety of Industry professionals lead seminars in the hidden knowledge of each department.  Topics range from production to post and are hands-on.

Creative Collaboration

Apprentices work with each other to form their own family and creatively collaborate on all projects in the program.

Access to Equipment

The program provides free access to laptops, cameras, lighting, audio and other industry equipment for use during projects.

Whole Person Support

Not only do we focus on industry, we support each person through our rigorous program with various resources: including personal and psychological support, along with personal development skills.

Guidance

All participants receive creative critiques on projects, and guidance on interpersonal growth.  This results in exponential improvement in creative works produced by participants and leadership skills.

Do you have to live in the Dallas, TX area?

Participants must live in the greater Dallas-Ft. Worth metropolitan area. You do not specifically need to live within Dallas country to be a participant in the program. Classes are held in Dallas, TX.

Are there any age restrictions?

All participants must be 18 or older. There is no age cap.

Do I need to have been on a film set before?

You do not need to have prior experience on a film set.

Do I need to be below a certain income level?

Participants with all income levels are accepted into the program.

Do I need to currently be a student?

You do not need to be a student (or have been a student of higher education) in order to become a participant.

Do I need to pay for the program?

All materials are provided free of charge. There is no application fee.

Do I need to have access to a car?

Most participants have access to a car, but it is not a requirement. Please indicate in the application if there are challenges with having access to transportation.

Do I have to provide my own lunch?

All participants receive free lunch when meeting for the program.

How many classes do I need to attend?

Participants are expected to attend all classes. The program allows for two total absences on class dates for extenuating circumstances.
