"Harmonies of Humanity" is a groundbreaking event that not only brings together acclaimed international artists but also marks the launch of the inaugural Human Rights Dallas Film Series. This series sets the stage for profound discussions on global human rights issues, beginning with the screening of "Nowhere Left to Go - The Jahalin Bedouin (2012)." The presence of the film’s producer and co-director, Angela Godfrey-Goldstein, adds a unique depth to the conversation, offering invaluable insights into the plight of the Bedouin people and highlighting the urgency of these global challenges.

Pegasus Media Projects (PMP) is honored to announce "Harmonies of Humanity," a compelling event dedicated to nurturing dialogue and understanding through the arts. As part of PMP’s annual "Exhibition of Visions," this unique evening will feature a powerful blend of film, music, spoken word, and cuisine, all aimed at humanizing the experiences of Palestinian people and promoting mutual respect among diverse cultures.
PERFORMING ARTISTS

Yasmine Bougacha
Cofounder & Violinist
Yasmine Bougacha is an exceptional soloist and chamber musician known for her nuanced and diverse stylistic performances. With a rich heritage rooted in Mexican and Tunisian cultures, Yasmine has performed across three continents, including a notable debut as a concertmaster and soloist at Carnegie Hall. Her dynamic career is highlighted by engagements such as performing with the Texas female mariachi group Rosas Divinas and alongside Grammy winners at the Stowe Tango Music Festival. Yasmine’s passion for a broad range of musical genres has also led her to arrange traditional Arabic songs, reflecting her deep connection to her cultural roots. She holds a Master of Music and an Artist Diploma in Violin Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she studied under Won-Bin Yim and Timothy Lees.

Celeste Meisel
Cofounder & Violist
Celeste Meisel, a virtuoso violist, embarked on her musical journey at just seven years old. Her profound dedication to her craft led her to the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she earned a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance under the guidance of Dr. Catharine Lees. Celeste’s expansive repertoire spans symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, and freelance projects, and includes the transcription of Jewish music for string ensembles. She has graced stages at prestigious festivals like Brevard Music Festival and Rencontres Musicales des Graves, and she is set to further her studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, continuing her pursuit of cultural exploration and musical excellence.

Nisreen Hajaj
Singer
Nisreen Hajaj is a Palestinian soprano singer/performer from Safad, Palestine who began her musical career at age 16. Nisreen is the winner of several awards including LBCI Studio El-Fan in 2006 for the Arab World Category representing Palestine. She is also the Golden Medal winner in the International FIDOF Competition on the National Lebanese Broadcasting Station (2009). Nisreen studied music at the National Lebanese Conservatory including Middle Eastern Chanting and ‘Oud. Nisreen was a lead singer in Ferqat Haneen Lel Ughniyah Al-Felasteeniyyah and sang for Palestine, the homeland she was deprived of. Her repertoire includes traditional Palestinian Folklore which she hopes to preserve for generations to come.She performs in the United States and Canada and pledges that she will keep on the fight for justice through her voice and music.

Bahar Momeni
Author, Poet & Educator
Bahar Momeni is an award-winning Iranian-American writer, poet, activist and instructor at The University of Texas at Dallas while pursuing her PhD in Literature. Her works, published globally in Farsi and English, focus primarily on human rights and relations in her creative and scholarly writings.
