OUR HISTORY

The organization’s history is rooted in the desire to inspire and empower our youth to pursue their passions for filmmaking. The Pegasus Media Project (PMP) was founded in 2012 by Iranian-born artist-educator Niloo Jalilvand. In 2021, Jalilvand partnered with filmmaker Christian Vasquez, and PMP was established as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Pegasus Media Project established as non-profit organization.
PMP partnered with Arts2work , the winner of the MIT Solve Prize for Reimagining Pathways to Employment, and Dallas Workforce Solutions to create PMP's Arts2work Multimedia pre+Apprenticeship Program (MAP).
